Freeze the two Rippers in order to create some makeshift platforms and roll through the narrow passage to reach the other side. Create some more Squeept platforms in order to make your way across the lava and into the hatch ahead.
Roll into his arms to reveal that your next stop is Kraid, and continue to the right.
Make your way to the right and meet up with another Chozo Statue. Wait for the red bastard to jump out and quickly freeze him with your beam in order to create a nice, chilly platform. In the next room, a Squeept will dive in and out of the lava, obstructing your way to the platform on the other side of it.
